I have been totally excited about the Sephora’s Friends and Family 20% off event starting November 6th to November 10th. The online discount code is FF2008.
Well, I was checking my updated Blackberry Curve, (thanks Brit) and I was too happy to see an e-mail about Beauty.com’s Friends and Family 20% off Sale. My only beef with this sale is that it excludes NARS. You need the link <— to get the 20% off. The sale starts @ 12:01 AM, November 5th to 11:59 PM, November 7th. (No time zone was specified) Remember that every purchase earns a 5% cash back.

If you have any money left from all the recent beauty sales or if you have not been affected by the economic turmoil, check out the NonPareil Boutique Sale. The e-tailer has lowered prices on many popular items, so check them out if you can. I have purchased from them before and I have been pleased with the processing and shipping times.

Cherry Culture has decided to discount some of their popular items, including NYX eye shadows, NYX Ultra Pearl Mania, which I am very keen on and Splash products, a friend’s favorite.
So take advantage of the sale and stock up on some beauty goodies… hmmm maybe for Holiday or Birthday gifts! 🙂

Too Faced Cosmetics has revamped its website as well as the packaging for shipment. The first time I received a package, the goods were in a padded envelope…Glam (Not so much!!!)
Well no more! When I checked my mail, after a day of church and fellowship, I was pleased to see that my Too Faced package finally arrive. The box has a pink damask pattern, which is design element that exemplifies my personal decor taste, with the logo of a woman with a high mane applying lipstick. Too Faced Cosmetics has glammed it all the way up!

I love the tag line, “Why be pretty when you can be gorgeous?”
Too Faced Cosmetics Package Inside
I love the pink crinkly paper. It adds fun to the elegant packaging.
Too Faced Cosmetics Inside W/ Products
I purchased 2 Foiled Liners in Black Beauty and the Galaxy Glam Baked Eye Shadow in Magenta Moon (a combo of brown and fuschia shimmer).
The foiled liners are creamy helps to frame the eye. One of the few liners that I love, even though I have more than enough. The liner has staying power! I have had some good liner days using the Too Faced Foiled Liners.
Galaxy Glam Baked Eye Shadow is what MAC mineralized eye shadows should be. They are smooth and very blendable. I absolutely love them and now have 3 in my collection. I love their shadows (singles and duos).
Since launching the new Too Faced website, the company is offering 30% off and free shipping on every order (for a limited time). Orders of $75 and more, receive a free gift. The discount codes are NYC1 and DCBEAUTY [No, you do not need to use both codes at the same time.] So check them out!
Keep It Glowing,

I have been enjoying the Milani Color Brilliance Eye Pencil in Green, which I give a 5 out of 5, so I decided to try Milani’s Black Magic Liner & Eye Glimmer pencils. The pencils are double-sided and the “eye glimmer” side’s tip is thicker than the liner side. The Glimmer side can be used as a shadow or placed over the liner for a glittery look. (I suggest, if you are going to use the glimmer side, place it over the liner or creamy shadow for the best effect, otherwise the glimmer side is utterly useless!)
Milani Black Magic Liner & Eye Glimmer
I purchased the Blue and Black Milani Black Magic Liner & Eye Glimmers ($4.99/ea at Target.) The liner sides are very creamy and smooth and easy to apply. Now, the magic eye glimmer side was another story. The blue side did not show up too well (looked rather blotchy), while the silver is vibrant and pigmented. I wiped the Blue Magic side with a tissue and cotton swab to no avail. I also sharpened the tip, nothing could help the texture. I do not think I will ever use the blue magic side of the pencil. Milani needs to reformulate the blue glitter because the color is gorgeous.
Milani Black Magic liner and Eye Glimmer Swatches (Blue and Black)
I used the Black Sterling liner for a neutral church look.
Milani Black Sterling Liner from Duo Pencil
Overall, the purchase was worthwhile and I, definitely, plan to purchase more. I am impressed with the Milani products that I have used and swatches that I have seen. I cannot believe I used to walk past these products in my local drugstore. Please forgive me. 😉

Recently, I posted a Cherry Culture haul that included a LA Colors palette and Sweetz, a fellow Pumps and Gloss-er, wondered if the LA Colors palette was a worthwhile purchase.
LA Colors Serenade Palette
LA Colors Tease Palette
LA Colors Palette are very pigmented, but there was a lot of fall out, which means that a tacky base is needed. (I was totally frustrated using this product!) The LA Colors All-In-One Makeup pencil (can be used as a blush, lipstick, eye shadow and/or primer) would be a great base because of the extreme tackiness. The problem for me is this product makes me crease and that can be quite problematic. (For some people, the tackiness will pose no problem.)
LA Colors All In One Make-up Pencil
I have seen people make the palettes work and I applaud them for that, but as for me, I will focus on other discounted brands that have the same pigmentation and little to no fallout that deserve my money, time and attention.
